Downloads setting bug?
So I just updated to version 110.0 of Firefox, and I noticed it's doing something odd. I've always had my browser set to ask me where I want to download something. But when I went to download a pdf from DrivethruRPG a few minutes ago, instead of asking me where I wanted to save it, it sent it automatically to my computer's download folder. However when I checked my settings, I did indeed have the box checked that says 'ask me where to save files'.
Anyone have a clue what the hell happened here?
EDIT: I should also note that the PDF wasn't just being downloaded automatically, but it was also being opened in a new tab on the browser. Again, not sure what happened there.

Firefox needs to download the file to be able to view it in a tab.
You can set browser.download.start_downloads_in_tmp_dir = true on the the about:config page to make Firefox use the OS temp folder.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. On the warning page, you can click "Accept the Risk and Continue" to open about:config.

What exactly would doing that do? The whole issue I was having is that the thing was saving automatically to my downloads folder instead of asking me where I wanted to save it, something it hasn't done in....ever, I think. That and not being sure why it was opening the file in a new tab after it had been downloaded.
