the keep me signed in window problem is back! after 6 months of not being bothered by this problem, it has returned! same problem as original posting. the do not show this window again button does nothing and this window opens whenever i log into my live.com account. i haven't made any changes, added any programs, etc. under cookies and site data, i have "delete cookies and site data when firefox is closed"- managed exceptions are live.com, hotmail.com. Under history, I have clear history when firefox closes and under settings, site settings, cookies and offline website data are not checked! any help will be greatly appreciated. sincerely, d

PLEASE VIEW THE INITIAL THREAD. I WENT THROUGH ALL OF THIS B-4 IN JANUARY OF THIS YEAR WITH "jscher2000". THIS WILL BRING YOU UP TO DATE ON THIS PROBLEM. IT WAS FINE TILL A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO AND NOW THAT STUPID WINDOW IS BACK!

You can use these steps to make a website recognize and remember you.

  • create a cookie allow exception with the proper protocol (https:// or http://) to make a website remember you

You can check that you aren't clearing important cookies.

  • using "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" keeps cookies with an allow exception
  • using "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear cookies clears all cookies including cookies with an allow exception you may want to keep
  • clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exceptions for passwords and other website specific data
  • Settings -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Exceptions"
  • Settings -> Privacy & Security
    Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history":
    [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" -> Settings
