Using about:preferences#privacy one can configure whether Firefox shall ask to store passwords. Is it possible to make this setting active only for some self-defined domains or subdomains?

Example

  • Firefox shall ask to store passwords for all domains like *.mydomain.com
  • For all other domains, Firefox shall never ask to store passwords

That is not possible, there is only a block exception possible if the Password Manager is enabled. I personally disable "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" and if necessary use "Create new login" in Lockwise to add logins and I'm also not using auto-fill for the username and password, but use the content menu (Use Saved Login/Password) to have full control.
