Used to be that when I opened the FireFox browser in my PC it opened up on the screen. Now all of a sudden it opens in a small window in the upper left corner. then I click on the icon to expand it and it moves to the upper right corner, still small window. click on the icon again and it them opens up filling the window. This is more than annoying. Is there a fix for it? If not I will need to switch browsers to Chrome which seems to work better.

I am not interested in syncing with my only other device (phone) so I hope that's not the solution. How do I turn off the sync reminders?

I also find it frustrating that there does not appear to be any tech support direct from Mozilla or FireFox A.J.

i'm thinking there may be an issue involving low computer memory for FF.

have you tried rebooting your computer and see if this helps to resolve the issue?

Not tech smart enough to know what FF is? However, I have rebooted the computer with no change.

ok. thanks for the additional information.

if you would like to try some things, it might help to figure out was is going on.

what we can try is freeing up some memory, the old fashion way, by temporarily disabling apps that are pre-running with the windows desktop. i call this methodology "cleanmode windows", which is not exactly like "safemode windows" but accomplishes some of the similar things.

if you would like to try this,

Open the windows task manager via ctrl alt del or by right clicking in desktop taskbar and selecting Task Manager

nextly, go to the Start UP tab and you will find a list of apps that are being installed with windows.

temporarily double click on each one and select "disable". You may want to jot down which ones are being disable if the list is too complicated.

nextly close and reboot your computer.

when windows loads up, it will not have the extra apps loading up with it and thus there will be more resources for FF to run. And if FF does function for you, then the likely cause of the issue was something that you had disabled in the start up tab.

let us know of what your findings are.
