Person has created a new/same question in the Thunderbird Support Forum. Please post all comments in that question: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1327781

I suspect they are using a Linux type of OS (awaiting confirmation when posting comment) and they are not using a download from the official webpage. If anyone reading this is using that type of OS, all help would be appreciated.
