Delay Timer for ALL Message Sends

One feature of mail.com that I really like is the ability to set a default time delay for the sending of messages. How often do we click that "send" button just a little too soon? Well, having this feature can greatly reduce the likelihood of that happening. The idea is that, once the delay is set in the preferences, then every time I click send on an email, I get a modal dialog box with a countdown timer for, say, 5 seconds. As long as the dialog is present (and the only button is "Cancel" or "Don't Send") then I can save myself from embarrassment; once the timer is done, the message is sent. I'd love to see a feature like this in Thunderbird. NOTE: This is NOT the same as "Send Later", which is applicable on a per-message basis. I'm more interested in a "don't-allow-me-to-make-a-complete-ass-of-myself-sending-this-message-too-soon" timer. Hope someone can figure out how to add it. It's definitely been a life-saver for me in mail.com.

In case anyone wants to know, the reason I'm switching from mail.com to Thunderbird is that mail.com is no longer allowing sending from email accounts that are connected but are not hosted at mail.com. Thunderbird allows me to do that quite easily, and it's a no-brainer for me to switch.

There was an add-on that provided a delay, but it doesn't work in TB 78, and I'm not aware of any equivalent method for 78.
