Hi, I am not really that happy with the latest version of Firefox android and i have used it for years.

I used to really like that my bookmarks were the first thing that showed when i opened Firefox and i never had the issue i am having now either.

Before this new version i would tap on one of my bookmarks and a new refreshed version of that site would always load, i am finding that to make things a a bit quicker and still have some sort of bookmarks on my home screen i have had to add sites either to collections or to what you now call top sites.

I don't know why i can't just have my bookmarks on the front as they are the sites i always go to and the way you have changed it has just made it hard to do things, i feel like i shouldn't have had to setup collections and top sites just to have the same thing?

The main issue is that when i tap on sites from top sites or collections a copy of the last time i visited that site shows and i have to refresh it every time to get the latest content, this is especially a nuisance for news sites such as bbc etc. this didn't happen prior when i used to just select the site i wanted from my bookmarks?

I know tapping on the top right and going to bookmarks isn't exactly hard, but you have made it all 'feel' harder than it was before, it was easy to open multiple sites from bookmarks before as well and now that feels hard to having to long press and then select all the sites i want to open first.

Is there any way the issue regarding sites not opening with the latest contents be fixed and if this isn't an issue as such as far as you see it, could there be at least an option in settings so that people then have to option to load an old cached copy of sites to make loading faster or to load new contents so that the user has the option?

Regards

James

James. You are not alone. I have the similar issues with how bookmarks are handled in the new version. I just want to access bookmarks and load that new page in the current tab - not create a new tab every time I select a bookmark. What was once 2 Steps is now 6 Steps (including the fact you need to delete the tab created by selecting a bookmark).

I posted a similar question yesterday. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1310075
