When I "Bookmark this page", Firefox (64.0 for Mac OS-X) selects a logo to go with the bookmark, apparently at random, sometimes related to the bookmark, or not

When I "Bookmark this page", Firefox (64.0 for Mac OS-X) selects a logo to go with the bookmark, apparently at random, sometimes related to the bookmark, or not. And I can't see any way to correct this once the bookmark is created. What would make sense is to have the logo that appears on the address bar for the site get copied onto the bookmark. I've tried deleting the bookmark, restarting Firefox, or restarting the computer, or counting down from 30 while standing on one foot and holding my breath, etc, then resaving the bookmark -- no good.

被選擇的解決方法

Try to delete the favicons.sqlite file in the profile folder.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

  • use "Verify Integrity" button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page
in case errors are reported close and restart Firefox and retry

Hi

The icons in question (known as "favicons") are set by the website you are viewing, however this add-on may help if you wish to customise them to icons of your own choosing.

stroy0 said Thanks, this worked. Now each bookmark has the logo that the web site places on the address window, which is what I wanted.

Sorry, "The icons in question (known as "favicons") are set by the website you are viewing", and that is exactly what I wanted, but it was not happening. Cor-el's recommendation, "delete the favicons.sqlite file in the profile folder" appears to solve the problem, and now the bookmarks are saving the logo presented by the website.
