Thunderbird's junk mail filter has gone wild and will not properly display email it claims is junk even when told it is not junk. I want to turn the junk mail filter off completely, but there does not appear to be a way to shut it off. This problem has appeared in the last two weeks. I have tried everything suggested in the support section here and nothing works. I have completely removed and reinstalled Thunderbird and Firefox and still the problem exists. It arbitrarily picks some items as junk over and over again even though I tell it the item is not junk. It then will not display the email correctly. I can push "Not Junk" ten times and it still will not display the email.
I looked at the underlying email program, netscape.net (also known as AIM) and all junk mail filters there have been turned off and the same items are not shown as junk there. The items appear normally in the in box.

AOl has apparently started using the rubbish Yahoo have done for years, so the issues are probably from the changes of AOL to Yahoo.
Is there any way to completely shut off the junk mail filter? Why does it have to operate?
