Firefox repo with deb-package
I use Debian Buster (testing) and there is only firefox-esr in its repos while I don't want ESR. Therefore, with each update I have to manually reistall it from tar.gz from the Firefox website. Is there a way to avoid it?

If you install Firefox in a location in your home directory then you should be able to update Firefox via "Help -> About Firefox". If you install Firefox in a location with root permission for writing (/opt or /usr) then you would have to start Firefox as root (sudo) to be able to update Firefox.
You can find the full version of the current Firefox release (62.0.3) in all languages and all operating systems here:

Yes the Firefox folder needs to have read/write permission for the user to get Firefox updates as a easy way around that is to have Firefox folder be in Home.
Actually, I never thought in this direction. Thanks!
