Firefox Hangs - A web page is slowing down your browser
Hi!
I have one user that approx a month ago started to get this message: en webbsida gör din webbläsare långsammare / A web page is slowing down your browser
This happens when user is clicking in one homepage. Most of the time its fine (no messagages) but somethimes it pops up and it hangs firefox.
- All other users do not have this issue - Firefox has been uninstalled and cleaned out twice. Also there is no extra addons or extentions installed. - Windows 7 SP1 with latest patches - PC has been updated also with latest graphics and chipset drivers. - Homepage merinfo.se (se attached photo if it got uploaded fine, red circle indicates when message pops up and hangs firefox)
Any suggestions on how fix this or continue troubleshooting firefox?
Thanks

I clicked on the link and it loaded ok for me. Perhaps your 'one user' has an Extension that could be in a Script conflict?
Can this user disable all Extensions or click on Help and choose "Restart With Add-ons Disabled" and see if that helps?
I used to see that pop-up more often before Quantum, "A web page is slowing down your browser." It could happen under memory demanding situations, cause once I started fresh from a computer ReBoot, that 'slowing down' message all but gone away until days later, with memory usage pile-up, the pop-up would start to come back with certain Web pages. (Does this 'one user' have the "NoScript" Extension?)

Hi Pj,
User has this issue approx 1 in 20 clicks on that homepage. No extensions are installed in this browser. Some "standard" addons - se attached photo.
Computer is pretty ok spec (i5 with 8GB ram), no high memory or cpu. user is only using a couple of apps such as outlook. excel. firefox. msie.
I have restarted firefox in safe mode so lets see how that goes. (firefox has been reinstalled twice and cleaned out from user profile etc prior install)
Cheers
in safe mode (without addons) it still pops up..
