Hi, I am trying to install Firefox on my work PC - which is running Windows 7 Enterprise SP1. I have tried the 'Firefox Installer.exe' stub from the main download page. I have also tried 64-bit and 32-bit installers for 'Firefox Setup 61.0.1.exe' from the 'Advanced Install Options & Other Platforms' page too.

But each of them gives the following error: Sorry, Firefox can't be installed. This version of Firefox requires Microsoft Windows 7 x64 or newer. Please click the OK button for additional information.

I have Admin rights on my PC - so, any ideas why it wont install? Thanks.

I imagine that you are correct. You can talk to your Corporate IT and see if they will allow the installation of Firefox for Enterprise, https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/

Hi, With Windows 7 Type cmd.exe into Search and then Right Click and run as Administrator then Copy/Paste sfc /scannow ( sfc<space>/scannow ) into the Dos Command Prompt and then Enter.

Try the installer again. Not sure where you went for the installer. If was not here please try this :

Reboot when finished. sfc /scannow

Hi, Sorry for the late reply - was not in the office. Tried the sfc /scannow and reboot - made no difference - definitely downloaded from the above link.

I suspect that this is some kind of corporate security restriction - my Admin account is an audited one - not a pure Admin account - so perhaps they are still blocking Firefox. Thanks for the help anyways :)
