Too many requests for master password
Windows 10, Version 10.0.15063 Build 15063. Firefox ver. 66.0.2 I think this problem roughly corresponds to the last Firefox update, but I can't be sure. Previously the request for my master password only came after I first opened Firefox, and then if I restarted it and tryed to log in to a saved site. Now it comes up many times during use of a site, sometimes when I typing in a request for something unrelated to logging in. It also interrupts the typing on the site and starts typing the rest of what I'm doing in the request for master Pw box.

There seems to be a pref that is set to 15 minutes, so you can try to increase the value of this pref to see if that works.
- signon.masterPasswordReprompt.timeout_ms = 900000
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
// This temporarily prevents the master password to reprompt for autocomplete. pref("signon.masterPasswordReprompt.timeout_ms", 900000); // 15 Minutes
