Bypassing SSL Error code: SSL_ERROR_HANDSHAKE_FAILURE_ALERT

more options

We have a number of APC NMIC cards, PDU's and other devices that we can no longer access. Currently using Firefox ESR 52.7.3 (32-bit)

We get the following:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to 10.40.xxx.xxx. SSL peer was unable to negotiate an acceptable set of security parameters. Error code: SSL_ERROR_HANDSHAKE_FAILURE_ALERT

Is there anyway to eliminated this? Is there a way to bypass this security check base on IP address?

Hmm, I wish the message had more detail -- it's just not clear exactly what parameters were considered unacceptable.

That's important because Firefox removed some older ciphers and protocols and there is no settings-based override for that change because they are no longer in the code.

Can you use Internet Explorer 11 to access those devices?
