After new TB install, all email is in "Inbox", but not my old "Sent" mail.

I installed TB - Great, it was easy. All mail from my inbox account at GoDaddy arrived. But nothing of my "Sent" mail in that account. TB did not create a "Sent" mail folder. Searched everywhere - can't find a solution.

I suspect you have been given a POP-connected account. POP can "see" only the Inbox. You need the alternative IMAP to be able to see other folders on the server. ISTR that GoDaddy offer only POP with some of their packages, but their site is somewhat opaque and it's hard to see what is on offer.

Thunderbird creates certain folders only when they are needed. When you delete messages a Trash folder should appear. Similarly, Drafts and Junk may not be present until you do something that uses then.

Thank You. This worked. I deleted the POP account, and started over, using IMAP. Great service.
