tabs losing their urls on restart
After FF55 update 8 Aug, on restart the tabs (including pinned) are visible - but are empty. I reset FF and seemed better as would retain on quick close & restart - but after reboot back to same problem In Options - General - When Firefox starts: - I have 'Show your windows and tabs from last time'
55.0 (64-bit) - on Windows 7
BTW a Windows 7 update happened around the same time.

hi, this got reported a couple of times and we are looking at fixing this problem in a 55.0.1 release. in the meantime it should help if you set your homepage to about:blank (while still leaving the 'Show your windows and tabs from last time' option in place).
ok - thanks - the work-round does seem to have helped. BTW where were the other reports posted?
in bug 1388628 and its duplicates it was raised.

I'm already using 55.0.2 and I still have the problem of my tabs not coming back when I close and restart Firefox. I tried the about:blank and that didn't help, either.

Hi kimberk
In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes".
- do not clear the Browsing History
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" -> Settings
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/delete-browsing-search-download-history-firefox
- clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
- clearing "Cookies" will remove all selected cookies including cookies with an "Allow" exception you may want to keep
I don't clear history. I double checked and that's how it's set. Thanks.
