I need to find and move emails that are in multiple different folders
When I used Outlook, I could search for a certain email address and then select all the files found and move them. I can't seem to figure out how to do this in Thunderbird. The search results don't generate a list of selectable items where I can initiate a move.
I have many different email accounts and folders. I have been archiving all correspondence with certain people. I would like to for instance do a search for [email protected] and from that result put them all in a folder called Joe.
A Saved search will generate a list of emails that can be selected and moved, however, with the number of folders that I wish to search, constructing a saved search takes a very long time. I do not see any way to select all folder and subfolders to search for in a saved search. There doesn't appear to be way to select all and CTRL-A doesn't do anything there.
Thanks

Do a Global Search, Ctrl+K, enter [email protected], select filters if desired in the left pane, click 'Open email as list', Ctrl+A to select all the messages, then right-click 'Move to...'.

That sounds like a good solution. Alas, I can't find any place to click on "Open Email as a List". Where is that feature? I don't see it on the left pane, I don't see it on the toolbar, it isn't available with a right click, it is not under file/open, it is not under view. Could it be disabled on mine?

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
I knew there had to be a way. Just couldn't figure it out. Can't believe that I missed that button now, It is up in the header whether or not the bar-graph month/year chart is open or minimized.
Thanks a lot. :)
Have a great weekend.
