We can not see what you are doing and how you have Firefox set up but Firefox often will be able to remember sign on credentials for a particular website, possibly using a master password.
See
- Where are my logins stored?
- Password Manager - Remember, delete and edit logins and passwords in Firefox
- Use a Primary Password to protect stored logins and passwords
There is a possibility at some future date Firefox may change and include a new improved built in password manager.
Try:
- Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> Network: Connection -> Settings:
"Do not prompt for authentication if password is saved"
Controlled by this pref on about:config:
- signon.autologin.proxy
