Tried to download and view a PDF from the government of canada website, specifically http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1344E.pdf it reports

To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

But I have the latest version installed, 17.009.20044. and the the latest Windows 8.1 updates as at 15 May 2017

When using IE (11.0.9600.18666) , everything works fine, the form can be download, viewed and saved.

How to fix?

Hi   !
Please go to :

3-bar menu => Options => Applications Scroll down till you find 'Portabel Document Format (PDF)'   and click on the little black arrow next to ' Preview in Firefox' Then click on 'Use other'   and choose   'Adobe Acrobat Reader DC' Don't forget to click   'OK'

(Firefox has a built-in PDF reader - hence the 'Preview in Firefox')
