Are there any instructions on how to configure Firefox for a Mac OS X 10.11 environment?

I need to control the home page, proxy server settings and to turn off the default browser prompt for students.

I found some instructions online but they are no longer relevant to the current build of Firefox.

hi Big_Stacey, the common way to set predefined preferences in firefox is explained in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locking_preferences
