Sorry, is this a problem on the new tab page (the page that opens when you click the "+" button on the tab bar or press Ctrl+t) or a problem with the button on the bookmarks toolbar that shows the most visited pages?
If it's the new tab page: Is something else displaying on the page instead? Or was all the history deleted -- you can check the history menu?
If it's the button: Please try the steps in this article: Restore the default Smart Bookmarks Folders.
Or if the whole bookmarks toolbar is missing, you can use one of these methods to show the toolbar list and select it there:
- right-click a blank spot on the tab bar (or the "+" button)
- tap the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > View > Toolbars
- in Customize mode > Show/Hide Toolbars (see: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars)
To turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar, Menu Bar, or other bars, click it on the list.
