Shockwave controls (play, volume, etc) are extremely small. How do I make them larger?
The font is so small it is unreadable! I accessed "about:config" in Mozilla to try and change the settings. I changed "layout.css.devPixelsPerPx" from -1.0 (default) to a number of different settings, but this changes everything on the screen *except* the controls like play, volume, etc.
NOTE: I am using a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro laptop (high resolution... 3200:1800). I cannot seem to get any of the video players to have normal size text. Help!

Yes, unfortunately, this issue has come up before with the Lenovo higher-than-HD resolution screens. For example: Playback controls on YouTube and other video players are tiny.
Many sites now use an HTML5 player, which hopefully has normal-sized controls. For YouTube, you can tell which is being used either by right-clicking the player and looking at the bottom item on the context menu, or checking this page:
Firefox recently added a hidden preference allowing you to easily disable the protected mode feature of the Flash player. I'm not sure it will make any difference, but I don't recall that being tried in the earlier threads:
(A) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(B) In the search box above the list, type or paste flash and pause while the list is filtered
(C) Double-click the dom.ipc.plugins.flash.disable-protected-mode preference to switch its value from false to true.
This might not take effect until all Flash has been unloaded for a few minutes, or you close Firefox.
jscher2000... sorry... but that did not help! Any other ideas?!
Thanks!
Disabling Flash Protected mode did not help? Unfortunately, that doesn't surprise me.
What about the HTML5 player, does Firefox size the controls correctly? Or is that not usable for other reasons.
Hmmm... not sure I understand your suggestion?
If I go to YouTube, or other sites, the HTML5 player works and has the controls sized correctly. If I go to other websites, the Flash player does not size it correctly on the site.
Example: when I go to billoreilly.com/video, and select any video, it does not size it correctly, OR, when I try to right-click on the video, it freezes, and I have to disable the flash media window to regain control of that page. ??
Sorry, I don't have a fix for Flash (or other plugins). Was just hoping to switch players where possible.
