On previous Firefox versions 32, 33 also 34 my digital signature works without any problem, however, when I updated to version 35 it allows to authenticate but not to sign. Something blocks the signature certificate. For version 33 we went to about:config and added the preference dom.unsafe_legacy_crypto.enabled as a boolean with a value: true and that fixed this issue for this version. But when we tried to perform the same configuration for version 35 the issue persists. I´ve been looking for a solution via web but I didn´t find any answer. Have you made some changes in order to use digital signatures through Firefox 35? Do you have any plug-in or add-on to solve this situation?

hello Kreator, non-standard crypto methods were backed-out from firefox 35 - for more information please refer to bug 1030963.

Hi Philipp,

Thanks a lot for your response. I´ve looking at the link you provided but we still couldn't find an answer. We didn´t find the cause of why on the version 35 the digital signature doesn´t work but works on previous versions. Do you have any configuration regarding the preferences in about:config that we can use?

the answer unfortunately is, that this functionality has been totally removed from firefox as it's not webstandards-compliant. there is no way to reenable that through about:config as before...

Oh, I see. Well, in this case I´ll keep on 32 version XD

Thanks a lot for your time and your responses.

even better suitable in this case may be the firefox 31 ESR release, since it will still receive security updates for a few months: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/

Hey, thanks for the suggestion. We gonna use both options, 32 and 31 ERS. The reason for use the version 32 is because the most of the platforms which supports digital signature works with versions between 29 and 32 (in our country), so the most of them have been updated to 32 version
