flash player crashes - tried unchecking hardware acceleration.
Hey everyone! I have such a weird issue. About two months ago, my Firefox (after years of being stable on my 2012 Macbook Pro) started crashing consistently. Many times, it crashes only seconds after opening a webpage, and will crash every time that website opens. After trying everything I could to fix it, this weekend I reinstalled OSX Mavericks and started over again. I installed Firefox and then Flash, and instantly the browser started crashing. It crashes no matter what website I visit. I would say--somehow--the problem is worse than it was in the past. Sometimes, like in the second report below, I can keep Firefox from crashing as a browser for quite a while but Flash has crashed within the browser and typically won't work any longer.
Here are some crash reports from different sites.

In the address bar, type about:crashes. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers, click it and select Submit.
Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;
Type about:preferences<Enter> in the address bar
Select Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Then restart.
Thanks for your help! Unfortunately, I started over with OSX, Firefox and Flash trying to resolve the issue. I only have crash reports from 10/05 - forward. They are attached (took me a bit to submit them).
I will try the "Advanced > General" suggestions and get back to you. Right now, I've turned it off directly in Flash but not in Firefox.
Hopefully this information can help.
Sorry! It just occurred to me you probably want to be able to copy and paste these.

There are several causes in the reports,
JavaScript . . . .Shockwave . . . .and something called libdispatch.dylib
I am calling for more help for you.
Start your Computer in safe mode. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites.
Starting The Computer In Safe Mode;
If running, turn your computer off. Remove any disks and thumb drives that are in your hard drives or ports. Now start your computer but also;
Windows; Press the <F8> key repeatedly. Mac: Hold down the Shift key. Linux; Using the command line, Linux/Unix computers can be booted into various run levels that determine which resources are loaded. For example, "runlevel 1" is typically the equivalent to Windows and Mac safe modes.
When the Boot menu is displayed, release the key you were pressing. You must now choose what mode you want. The most used are;
- Safe Mode; The computer runs with only a minimum set of programs.
- Safe Mode With Networking; Same as above, but with internet access.
I thought I'd come here and give an update. My computer started having additional problems, including increasing problems with Firefox. I ended up doing hardware diagnostic checks on it and one of the RAM sticks did not pass the test. I've removed the RAM stick and thus far my system has not had any issues.
Thank you for your help. I'll be back if this resurfaces.
