I am going to refresh the hard drive by wiping it and reloading the software I want, getting rid of the junk that I have collected over the years. I have saved my data, pictures and music from My Documents, etc however I can't figure out how I can save my email so that when I reinstall Thunderbird I can just dump the saved files into the program and I'm back in business. I'm sure it isn't hard however I don't speak 'Computerese' meaning I get lost in the technical language. How do I do this?

Thanks for your help.

If you have backed up your entire Documents & Settings (or "Users" since Vista) then you have probably already got what you need.

Thunderbird stores your data and settings in its profile.

(Firefox also uses its own profile.)
