Firefox not loading graphics just text version of a web site

more options

I'm seeing more and more pages on many web sites where firefox will only load the text version of the page and not any of the graphics. I will not be able to click on a button and have it respond. Even on mozilla support page the Green button to click to contiene would not do anything. I had to just hit the enter key to get it to do anything. I reset FF to defaults and also load it up in safe mode and the same things is happening.

the link below says "try these manual steps", but clicking on it does nothing.

Hi soboku, ESET's filtering feature can be adjusted to avoid problems with secure sites, either by turning off filtering of SSL connections or by importing ESET's certificate into Firefox. I don't know whether you already tried those things, but if not, you could check the manual for your version. I looked at it the other day but don't know whether yours is the same: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1006414#answer-592501

Sorry I am running FF 30.0 on OSX 10.9.3

Are you running Windows? Somehow the forum didn't get any information about your browser and OS.

Do you notice any pattern about the sites with problems? For example, do HTTP sites work okay but HTTPS sites not work correctly? Along these lines, have you had to create any security exceptions because Firefox did not accept website certificates? This pattern can indicate a problem with your system clock (date, time, time zone) or malware intercepting your secure connections.

Please post back with any information about the pattern of problem sites that you think might be relevant.

I'm on OSX 10.9.3 running firefox 30.0 I have tried to run in safe mode but I get the same problem. I have did a total reset and now I have completely uninstalled Firefox and search for any remaining files and folders for firefox and Mozilla and removed them as well. I then re-download a fresh copy of firefox desktop release version 30.0 and reinstall it and now I'll just have to wait to see if the problem is solved. Will run for a day and get back with you. It could be the https anywhere plugin I'm not sure just yet. All my plugins are installed except that one. However it did it in safe mode so I find it hard to believe that its a plugin cause ff save mode disables all of them I thought. did not have to create any security certificates. system clock is fine. Malware? I have nod32 installed on my imac and there is no indication of any spyware, viruses or malware. will get back to you after a day to see if a fresh install has fixed it or not.

Right now I am not able to sign out. I click the sign out button but it does nothing. So either nod32 or NoScript might be causing some or all or none I don't no at this point. I allow everything with noscript for mozillia site. I also have Ghostly and I have disable some things on it to test.

Ghosty nor noscript is causing the problem with them both disabled I still have the problem. web pages will load only a text version and not the full page. I was not able to click on logins or out buttons or next buttons because of this. I don't no if this is java and or flash problem because with only loading the text I'm sure java and flash is not being allowed witch is needed for most of our web sites we go to. No sure if that is whats happening but just seems like that is. Yes my flash and java is up to date.

Using this site as an example, some style sheets and scripts are sourced from other servers. Can you open these directly (they are just a bunch of text run together, nothing special to look at) or do you get an error:

By the way, the Java plugin is not used for JavaScript; Firefox handles JavaScript internally.

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

Make sure that JavaScript is enabled and isn't blocked. The javascript.enabled prefs should be true on the about:config page

Since removing nod32 I have not had the problem. That's strange because it was doing it before I installed nod32. But for now I'll have to say its fixed and to close this out. Thank you all.
