I need to download zip file in firefox

added <RDF:Description RDF:about="urn:mimetype:application/zip"

                  NC:value="application/zip"
                  NC:editable="true"
                  NC:description="">
   <NC:handlerProp RDF:resource="urn:mimetype:handler:application/zip"/>
 </RDF:Description>
 <RDF:Description RDF:about="urn:mimetype:handler:application/zip"
                  NC:alwaysAsk="false"
                  NC:saveToDisk="true">
   <NC:externalApplication RDF:resource="urn:mimetype:externalApplication:application/zip"/>
 </RDF:Description>

I added above code in mimeTypes.rdf file priviously it is worked for me with firefox 28.0 version . I don't know why it is not working for me.

I added new profile in forefox also.

So suggest me if any thing is needed to download a zip file in firefox

Can't you thus right-click the ZIP file file and use "Save Link As" to save the ZIP file?

With what content type are the ZIP files send by the server?

You can also toggle the browser.altClickSave pref to true on the about:config page.
Then you can hold down the Alt key and left-click a link.
