Just recently, I can no longer drag messages from the Inbox to Folders / Sub-folders?

I can still right click on a message and then move it into a Folder / Sub-folder, by selecting from the pop-up window. But, this method feels extremely cumbersome compared to high-lighting and dragging the message(s).

Hmm... Now, all of a sudden, I can high-light and drag the messages into folders like normal? I looked through all of my preferences... But, I didn't change anything. What is causing this quirkiness?

Maybe you need to clear cache and cookies?

Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

I am having the same problem. Can no longer drag messages to folders. I just updated to Thunderbird 31.0. This worked before the update, but now I can no longer drag and drop the messages to my folders. I tried restarting in safe mode with all add-ons disabled and it still wouldn't work.

The suggestion above about clearing the cache and cookies makes no sense. The problem is in THUNDERBIRD, not FIREFOX.

Anyone have a solution?
