We would like to hardcode the Proxy Settings within Mozilla Firefox using Microsoft Group Policy on specific set of computers which are domain joined.
We would also like to restrict installation of Mozilla Firefox for users without administrative privileges as the same is available by design.

You can use a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock prefs or specify new (default) values.
Place a file local-settings.js in the defaults\pref folder where you also find the file channel-prefs.js to specify using mozilla.cfg.

Thanks for the response cor-el, this definitely works when the software is installed in the default directory or when we are aware of the installation directory however as non-administrator users can install this in their profile or anywhere where they have access it is difficult to determine the folder where the product is installed. Is there a method which can be used to determine where the product is installed and based on that criteria we can deploy the configuration files using AD GP.
