when i click on a link that i searched in a search engine a new tap is opend. How do i change this so it stays in the same tab i searched in
when i click on link in a search engine. lets use Google for instance and say i search for the camden wyoming fire company. When i click the link for the website a new tab is opened with the web site. .How do i change this so it uses the same tap i searched in

hello bratman0, per default results on google should already open in the same tab. if they don't please make sure that you haven't set to open a new browser window for them in google's settings: https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/425

Thanks phillip. I looked into google setting and that was the problem. Thank you for your help. It was really getting annoying lol
This is just a suggestion. You may be better off opening a new tab / window from any search engine because; If that choice does not help you (and you may go in several pages before you realize this), you can just close that tab / window and be back to the search results. On the other hand, if you have found what you want, you can close the search engines page.
