why is it when i copy a pic it copies as a php file-- it just started happening
i use to copy pics but now they download as php files and they dont open as pics

Try to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder to reset all file actions.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
