Hi edva,
When you reply write a reply in English. Then please follow it with the same information in your first language. Try to copy and paste the exact error message into your reply, and if possible also add a screen-shot.
- See: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
- And: How do I create a screenshot of my problem?
- Have a look at the forum, not just the emails, use /questions/930721
- You may find google translate is usefull, it will translate text to and from many different languages, even this forum webpage if you use the link above on the site
- I think you may have seen Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly)
You may need to reinstall Firefox following a special procedure. I am not a Mac user but instructions are here:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose Firefox problems_7-reinstall-firefox
- make sure you select the Mac version https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems#os=mac&browser=fx13

i have windows xp not mac god damn it.
Sorry edva,
maybe I was half asleep ;-)
it was the Chrome 19 user agent I must have noticed.
- Find and backup your Firefox User profile the instructions are here:
- Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles_windows-2000-and-xp
It is a long article it will scroll up and down,
It includes pictures of what you need to do - If you do NOT do that you will may loose passwords and bookmarks
- Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles_windows-2000-and-xp
- now follow the instructions I mentioned before but of course using the Windows version of the instructions
- troubleshoot and diagnose Firefox problems_7-reinstall-firefox
- and if you need to make sure it is the Windows version check by using this link
- IMPORTANT note the instruction Delete the Firefox installation folder which is located here by default: C:\Program files\Mozilla Firefox.
At this stage no need to delete the profile folder - If after the last step it still does not work the next step IS to delete the profile
This is easy if you can open Firefox, or the profile manager, if you can not do that then you need to find and delete it yourself. You should have already found it in step one at the top of the post. (You backed it up, I hope)
I did ewerything allot of times end nothing hapened the same thing i dont work . help me im comfused with this thing.
Did you find and backup your Firefox profile ?
- Have you got bookmarks and or passwords & logins on firefox ?
- Do you need to keep bookmarks and passwords, so that you may use them again ?
What is your first language. (I ask in part because some articles may be available in other languages)
Did you find where your firefox installation files are ?
Are you looking at this forum
- using the link http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/930721
- or are you only looking at your emails ?
Do you still see any profile listed in this location?
- XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
The "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K and the "AppData" folder in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.
Try to remove the profiles.ini to force Firefox to create a new default profile.

thank for the help i fixed firefox, i instaled windows pack 3 and it started working again.
Well done, glad you fixed it and thanks for posting back with a solution.
Sorry I forgot to mention that earlier. Although the article on crashes does remind that software should be updated. Firefox 13 does not support Windows XP SP1, but it will support Service-Pack 2 and 3.
The original SP1 is so old (2002-2004) I would not have thought many Internet users would have remained on it.
