Vimeo videos, whether embeded or on the Vimeo site, immediately crashes Flash. The only Flash trace issued is "LoopyAPI constructor".

Hi ScottWitte,

Have you looked at our Flash plugin troubleshooting section? There is a lot of useful information in there that should help you get to the bottom of your issue.

Hopefully this helps!

Hi!

That's not normal. I tried to run a couple of videos and it works fine for me.

Have you tried to run your browser in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode? I suspect that an add-on is messing up with your browser and Flash configuration.

Matt & Ibai,

Thanks. I tried a number of the suggested solutions earlier but missed the idea of running in safe mode. Duh!

Doesn't help. Strangely if I just aim for a temporary disable it doesn't seem to take. Flash should be turned off as an extension and it isn't. The add-ons manager still lists all add-ons as enabled. So I disabled all add-ons "permanently". Now Flash failed to load, of course. Went to the add-ons manager and enabled just Flash and.... Crash in Vimeo, not elsewhere.

Restarted again in Safe Mode. No difference.

Try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player.

See:

Flash "Display settings" window:

Cor-el -- Thanks for the suggestion. It is logical trouble shooting but unfortunately has no effect. Vimeo video (no others) crash Flash whether HW acceleration is enabled or not.
