After using a hotel's Wifi network, which always started off by directing me to its home page, I can no longer access www.google.co.uk - whenever I attempt to do so I am redirected to the hotel's home page
I use Windows XP Professional Version 2002. Every other website is OK (including google.com). Perhaps it is something to do with the fact that google.co.uk was my home page. Any suggestions?

Check the connection settings.
- Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection > Settings
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.
See "Firefox connection settings":
Thanks for the suggestion but it still doesn't work
What are the current connection settings?
I've tried "no proxy", "use system proxy settings" and "auto-detect proxy settings for this network" - and all to no avail
