Each time I open a new firefox window the menu bar at the bottom appears even though it is unchecked in the view menu. under add-on bar.

  • press CTRL + / to toggle On Add-on Bar
  • press CTRL + F to open Firefox Searchbar
  • click x button to close Firefox Searchbar
  • press CTRL + / to toggle Off Add-on Bar

Your Flash plugin is quite older. You need to update it.

When Downloading Plugins Update setup files, Remove Checkmark from Downloading other Optional Softwares with your Plugins (e.g. Toolbars, McAfee, Google Chrome, etc.)

Close the Add-on bar, then do the following:

Preferences are not saved

Check and tell if its working.

Nothing seems to work. Add-on bar always opens with a new window. How can I go on line with you and have you lead me thru the steps to restart with add ons disabled. Ok please !

Create a New Profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

-> Basic Troubleshooting: Make a New Profile

IF that New Profile works then you can recover your Bookmarks and Passwords from the Old Profile.

-> Recover important data from an old profile

Check and tell if its working.
