Why will "remember passwords for site" not stay checked everytime I reload FF it's unchecked.
Basically no more details. I go to options, security and click on "remember passwords for sites" Yet when I go to site previously using established passwords they are all of a sudden gone and I have to re-enter them. So I go to options again and the box is unchecked. I RE-check it. when I enter info I get the little box asking if I want FF to remember it and I say yes.
But once again after my session and close FF. When I got back I'm back to square one the box is yet AGAIN unchecked. This goes on EVERY time I load the program. I'm using FF 5.0. I'm using Constant guard protection suite from Xfinity that I wasn't using before, it has a feature where it'll log you in securely to websites (asks you much like FF if you want to add it) could it be somehow thinking it's protecting me by turning my password remember box off? Don't see how but not sure why other wise. Because it seemed to be working prior to installing this new program provided by Comcast.

For your protection. But once the password is recorded "Remember" password isn't going to make it twice as good, as it is already filed.
HUH you make no sense twice as good as what? Ok so if I hear you correctly it turns off? So why aren't may stored passwords being used then? I've used FF for as long as I can remember AND up until recently the sites I've had it store passwords on has always worked and been ready when I go to log in, now all of a sudden I have to log in every time I go to any site previously I didn't have to before. Why?
More specificily what can I do to fix this?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Fixed it thanks. Ya had an extension that was hijacking it. Not a bad thing persay since it was a security guard by my protection suite BUT I've trusted FF this long and with so many sites and so many passwords ugh it would be murder trying to remember them and I'm the only one that accesses this computer (here anyway) now hackers are another matter LOL. Well anyway thanks a bunch.
