I am surprised that the import feature in Mozilla does not offer the option to import user data from another profile (it could prompt for the other user's login password if security is a stumbling block).

Anyway, I have two different Windows logins, one as admin and one as limited/standard.. as do several people I know. Can I (without an add-on) relocate the existing/primary profile folder on either account to a centralized location and change the settings so that it is easily found by firefox in both user accounts? If so, please tell me what file or registry setting needs to be changed to reflect the next location? thanks.

If you use the profile manager to create a profile in a location that can be accessed from both accounts then that should work.

You should create a new folder and not use an existing folder that has files.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_new_Firefox_profile_on_Windows

Launch the Profile Manager and create a new profile. Click the choose button to specify a non-default location for that profile and specify the same location in both user accounts. Firefox recognizes an existing profile and will use it.
