Since updating Java for Firefox 3.6, Network system preferences repeats: "your network settings have been changed by another application", and it is now impossible to access Network system preferences.

Operating system: Mac OSX 4.11 Mac Powerbook G4 I updated Java at the same time as a couple of other little things, like QuickTime, in an update proposed by Mac around Aug. 15th, but Java is the only one I think could have caused this annoying bug.
