Firefox not downloading complete file
I run Firefox 3.6.3 on Windows 7 Professional, Toshiba L300 notebook. When downloading files and on some websites, FF fails to download the full file, instead every time stopping the download at 11.1 KB. I then have to switch to Internet Explorer, which downloads the files without problem. This problem occurs sporadically. I expect there is an easy answer. Help appreciated - if cannot be solved will need to switch to Chrome at least for downloads.

Hello,
Try a Clean Install of Firefox to see if that works.
But before doing that, first go to Start then type in the search box Firefox then click on where it says Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)
Then click on Disable all addons when a box pops up. After that click on Continue
Thanks Moses - I think uninstalling Add-ons one by one might work. However, the problem is VERY sporadic - actually only 3 out of 50 downloads between 13 and 20 May - see screenshot (with three 11 KB files). So not a huge problem, but it does recur from time to time, so it would be good to resolve, certainly if it gets worse. Thanks for advice

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox. You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work. Do not forget to re-enable the scanning in your anti-virus software after you are finished with downloading and installing. ..........
