Saved Bookmarks keep disappearing from view in the Toolbar Bookmark Sidebar
I've noticed this issue happening randomly, some of my toolbar bookmarks listed on the sidebar just up and disappear from view. As if they were never there. But I know they're still saved because when I click to Manage Bookmarks and check them there, they show up fine. The toolbar just randomly hides them for whatever reason, and I can only fix it by closing Firefox and opening it again.
I'm on the current version. I remember accessing about:support and clicking on Verify Integrity while trying troubleshoot some other issue, but don't know if that could've caused it though.

Do they appear if you search for them in the sidebar (Ctrl+B)? If they do, you can right-click and choose "Show in Folder" to locate them.
If you have any userChrome.css modifications, disable them by going to about:config in the address bar and change toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets to false then restart the browser.
Do they ever randomly hide while in Troubleshoot Mode?

They do, it's just that for some reason or another they vanish from view in the toolbar. I know they're still there as when I access the site it says its bookmarked and it does show up via Manage Bookmarks and search for them in the sidebar.
"toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets" is already set to "false". I haven't tried Troubleshoot Mode since it's seems to be completely random when they disappear.
Does it still happen with hardware acceleration disabled?

I've turned it off and things seem to be working ok, though as I've said it's random when it happens. I'll give an update if it happens again with this disabled.
Update: Seems to have worked for a time after turning off hardware acceleration, but the bug with the bookmarks disappearing in the toolbar has happened again. So the issue is still on-going.
This could be a problem with the places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder.
- use the "Places Database" -> "Verify Integrity" button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page
If errors are reported with "Verify Integrity", close and restart Firefox or reboot and retry.

I actually did that prior to the issue occurring as I mentioned in the original post but I'll try again anyway; didn't see any errors or anything else.
Did you try to rename/remove places.sqlite as it is not always obvious that Firefox detects all possible issues with the database ?

I renamed it and restarted Firefox, things appear to be the same (bookmarks haven't disappeared yet so far at least.) Is it ok to do that with the favicons.sqlite file too?
If you remove favicons.sqlite then you lose all favicons for bookmarks/history and you need to visit each bookmark to restore its favicon so you can first test with only a fresh places.sqlite.

Well the issue reappeared even after renaming places.sqlite, so guess I'll be trying favicons.sqlite next.
Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.
What happens if you right-click a bookmark search/query/recent result list and click "Show in Folder" to locate this bookmark in the folder list as this locates the bookmark in the sidebar?

It shows up in the folder list and I can search for it, but even while I have the sidebar open it's still invisible.
This is about "Show in Folder" in the right-click context menu (Library or Bookmarks list) and not about using the search bar in the sidebar as that sidebar is the problem.

Then I'm not sure what you mean or how to do that exactly to check.
Does this still occur on the latest Nightly?
@zeroknight
Note that the user in on Windows 7 (115 ESR), so Nightly and DE/Beta are not available.
You might want to add to your reply that these developer builds should only be used temporarily for testing and not for permanent use since this places them on an update channel that updates several times daily or weekly. You can also consider to focus on asking to create a new profile in Release unless you know this issue has been fixed in developer builds.
