Thunderbird - Email To: field only shows Collected Addresses
I was upgraded this morning to Thunderbird 102.2.2 and since then when I try to write an email only addresses in the Collected Addresses address book are available in the To: field. I checked the options (Tools->Settings->Composition) and it is set up to look for addresses in Local Folders. The default startup directory is All Address Books.
This used to work fine with my previous version of Thunderbird - I'm afraid I can't remember what version that was.
Is there any way I can get the To: field to list all my contacts' addresses?

go to tools>addressbook, right-click the addressbook you want to be default and tick the option. It appears you have collected addresses set as default.
Sorry, tried this but no change. My Google account address book (synced with Google Mail) is the default, but when I type into the To: field when writing an email it only allows me to select from Collected Addresses.
All worked fine on the previous version of Thunderbird.
I have this same problem. I'm using Thunderbird 102.3.1 Snap on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. This used to work fine when I was using the APT version of Thunderbird (which was 90-something). As far as I can tell, I have everything set up correctly for the accounts, but Thunderbird is only looking at Collected Addresses. All Address Books is set as the default directory, and if I search All Address Books, I can find the contacts I am looking for. I have several different email accounts, and for all of them, the To: field only searches Collected Addresses.
Also, in my setup, Thunderbird is not adding new addresses to Collected Addresses. I can manually add contacts to the Collected Addresses, but Thunderbird doesn't do it.
