old firefox data on desktop.
Hey, i noticed there's a folder called old firefox data on my desktop? No idea what it is
Does this old firefox data have any association to the current installation of firefox? - or is it purely old data from my previous instance of firefox which can be removed.

Hi. That folder appears when you 'refresh' Firefox. A method of restoring that profile is in the thread linked below. I prefer to use the method in the third link when creating a new profile. I would never use 'refresh'.

Hey mate,
Sorry a little bit lost.
I don't want to load my previous old install/profile of Firefox, I just don't want to compromise my current Firefox settings/installation
If i delete this folder called "old Firefox data", - my question is will it effect my new profile/installation of Firefox at all? or is it purely put on the desktop for backup purposes.
Below is a quote from one of the articles. You can delete the folder.
Note: The refresh will place your old Firefox profile on your desktop in a folder named “Old Firefox Data”. If your problem persists, you can partially restore lost information by copying files to the newly created profile. If you no longer need this folder, delete it because it contains sensitive information.
