I manage a corporate page on Facebook. We have 14 pages in total. When I publish a post to our corporate FB page, it automatically posts to the other 13 pages.

When I posted today, Firefox did not show the post in 11 of the 14 pages. I figured it was a problem with out aggregator just not posting to all the pages, but that was not the case. When I used Chrome to look at the pages, the new post was there on every page. When I looked at the pages again using Firefox, the post appeared on only 2 pages.

I've deleted the Firefox cookies, the cache, the history and all downloaded content. I've shutdown and restarted Firefox. But when I go back to my FB pages, the most recent post is not there. But it is there when I go to the exact same URL in Chrome.

What the heck is going on here? Firefox says I'm using the latest available version 95.0.2 (64 bit).

2 hours after I published my post on Facebook, now Firefox shows it on all 14 Facebook pages. This totally makes no sense.

Firefox may have loaded the pages from the disk cache.

You can reload webpage(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

I repeatedly forced Firefox to reload the page(s) using all of the above methods, none worked. The pages updated 2 hours later. So it's working now, but it took 2 hours before Firefox saw the updates that I posted.
