Please can anyone help me? I recently had a computer malfunction which necessitated a complete reinstall of Windows 10, erasing my existing C partition data. Needless to say, as Thunderbird keeps all Profiles data in the C partition, I lost ALL of my data. Fortunately I had been using Acronis True Image to back up my C drive contents, so I as able to get back my old data. However this meant that I had to create new Profiles to get Thunderbird to recognise the backed up data. My problem is this; is there a simple way, please, to merge the Profiles so that all my emails and addresses are in one Profile? Any advice or help will be gratefully received. (I have now set Acronis TI to backup the Profiles on a regular basis!)

The short answer is no.

You can import mail using the import export tools addon https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools-ng/?src=ss

for address books I suggest you export as LDIF files and import into the profile of choice.

Hi Matt, Thank you for a very quick reply. Looks like a long slog to add to the long slog I've already had! I'll try the procedures you have suggested, thanks. It's a pity Mozilla haven't devised a simple merging process as I am sure I'm not alone with this problem.... Kind regards and thanks again, Chris
