Your browser does not support this function!
I installed Lorex security cameras recently. I can access the DVR support box from Firefox and do admin stuff, but I can see no images from the cameras. Instead of images I get the message:
Your browser does not support this function!
This appears in the sub-window that the current image should appear in. I have installed ffmpeg and gstreamer (libav, ugly and unrar) - all to no avail. I am running Fedora 33 currently patched fully (yesterday).
I find it hard to believe that these images cannot be seen in Firefox. What am I doing wrong????

Any luck here ?
Most such security cameras used ActiveX controls and only worked properly with MS Internet Explorer or with a NPAPI plugin in Firefox. The last Firefox version that supported NPAPI plugins was Firefox 52 and I'm not sure if there even existed a plugin for Linux that supported DVR (CCTV).
I have "lpf-flash-plugin" installed;I see the file /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so properly installed for it to work; I went to the Firefox install add-ons page -> plugins; but I see no reference for flash so I cannot enable it. Is this because the newest Firefox (85 here) does not support it?
or possibly
I need to restart Firefox (possibly reboot) to make it all work?
Yes, Firefox 85+ no longer supports user installed plugins, even Flash support ended with this version. So if you need to use a plugin then you are out of luck with all current browsers. Websites and manufacturers need to switch to HTML5 means to handle such cases.

OK, not a solution but I will notify the camera manufacturer. Thanks for the clarification and education.
Adobe has stopped supporting Flash with security updates (i.e. Flash is EOL) and all browsers have stopped supporting Flash. Adobe recommends that all users uninstall Flash.
OK, flash removed here and no big luck with lorex yet. Still trying. Thanks.
Lorex does not have a download for Linux to correct the problem, only MAC and WINDOWS. DARN!!! They are working on it. Hopefully the download will fix the problem when it happens.
I've uninstalled flash and am now getting ' your browser does not support cameras ' What do I do next?

Check with your camera manufacturer for updates. If necessary, use a different browser or application.
