How do I view browsing history chronologically?

more options

In the library I can select a month to see history entries from that month, but I don't see any way to actually view them chronologically.

The only column with dates is "last visited" which obviously will not result in a chronological view if sorted on.

There's a column called "source date" or something similar, but that column is empty.

Well, sort of. Firefox's Library list only ever shows the latest visit, so you cannot use it to generate a list of all visits to a site.

I use a Windows program for that purpose (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/mozilla_history_view.html); I don't know if there is a similar program for Mac.

I did an add-on search and these have pretty good reviews. Not sure if they are useful for your needs, though:

Hi onetimename, if that is still your name ;-), please ignore the spam message with a phone number -- that's not official and we don't know what they will do to your system if you engage.

You typed that quicker than I could report it!

Oh ok, got it. Thanks for the suggestions. I suppose 3rd party tools won't do it either if the entries are aggregates that only save the first and last visited dates. Can't be helped!

Actually, the data on every visit is kept in the database for a long time, but for unknown reasons, it isn't available through the Library window ("Show All History").

Ok, I assumed not since the application you linked to only dealt with first and last visited dates. Weird to make such an app only to not expose all the data

I don't know why the column heading in MzHistoryView is labeled "last" and not "actual" but you'll see all the visits.
