Firefox signs out when I quit

more options

Every time I close Firefox it completely re-sets, I get signed out, all of my extensions are gone, bookmarks and settings and everything all need to re-install and get signed back into... it's really frustrating to have to sign on to tons of things to have it back to the way I want it set and never closing it or restarting it shouldn't be the only way to avoid this... PLEASE HELP! TYTYTYTY

Hi Thommy Somos,

I am sorry to hear you keep getting logged out and everything re-sets. There was another related issue on the Support Forum similar to yours which may be relevant.

Every time Firefox is closed and reopend, all settings (i.e. homepage, security settings) are reset to default. {link}

Hope this helps!

Hi Thommy Somos, normally, Firefox preserves all of your browsing data from one session to the next. It sounds as though either your profile folder is getting deleted, or at startup, Firefox is creating a new one.

Profile Manager Page

Could you type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Return to load it.

This page should list at least one profile and could list many. (Each profile has two folders and one or more buttons. Do not use any Remove buttons!)

The profile that Firefox is currently using will have this:

This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted.

Does Firefox indicate that the Root folder is in a sensible location? Normally on Mac that would be

~Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/individual.profile

If it doesn't appear next to the "Show in Finder" button, you could click that button to figure out where the data is being saved.

Are there a bunch of other profiles listed on this page, or just the one?
