1. Firefox disabled my addons without my consent and does not allow me to re-enable them. I could not care less whether they are signed or not, I trust them more than I trust Firefox. Give me a solution NOW!!!! I DO NOT HAVE THE LUXURY TO WAIT FOR YOUR "STUDIES" CRAP - if these "studies" have any effect at all... 2. Firefox is so bloody slow for the past one and a half year! It "upgrades", messes everything up for at least a month and when it begins to perform properly it "upgrades" again and the vicious circle restarts. Suggest a previous version of firefox that is not pested by this plague, one where I can use my addons without the fear of losing them without warning.

As soon as I tried to connect to your link, a new tab opened, I received a message that "Firefox prevented this site from installing software to your computer" and the page went blank. It seems as if Firefox has been fine tunned to disable all add-ons and keep them disabled and the situation is getting all too exasperating, you know!

Ok, I tried to "short circuit" in the follownig fashion: I opened the page in Chrome and doiwnloaded the .xpi file to my computer. What should I do now?

So, I manually installed the .xpi file following the "install add-ons from file" and the issue with the add-ons ended. I am gratefull to the-edmeister for putting me on the right track and I despise those good -for-nothing Firefox busybodies for fidgeting around with Firefox, making it user-hostile and making me lose so many hours from my life for an issue that would never arise but for their messing around. Oh, and by the way, Firefox is still as slow as a limp snail!
