Why "Show saved passwords" does not ask system password?
It's really weird and unsecured that Firefox doesn't ask for anything when choosing to show all saved passwords. Is this applied to all systems? I'm on Mac 10.14.4, Firefox 67.0b15

This is only for the passwords stored in the Password Manager, not the system.

The password information is stored in two files in the profile folder. The files are encrypted. The Master Password adds another layer of security.

Thanks, I have never used Master password before.
Safari always asks current user password before showing saved ones, and Master password help cover it up.

Note that Firefox 67 can use Lockbox for handling the passwords when this extension is installed.
