https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/changes-toolbars-and-window-sizes-are-not-saved You may have corrupt xulstore.json or Localstore.rdf file.

Close Firefox. Open your file browser to this hidden location:

  • Mac: *~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles
  • Linux: *~/.mozilla/firefox/Profiles
  • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
  • *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
  • Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data
    \Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Search for the above files. Then rename or delete them. Restart Firefox.

Just in case you are talking about :

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/magnifier/

That no longer works properly, as it hasn't been updated in years.

So, if this is what causing your problems : please, remove the add-on.

You could try this instead (which is a Webextension) :

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/zoom-page-we/

Here is an actual way to solve the problem I was having. Apparently allot of other people have the same problem depending on their mouse configuration https://dottech.org/120016/how-to-disable-or-turn-off-zoom-in-with-mouse-or-touchpad-in-firefox-guide/

Well, good for you  !!!

But in your original post you never mentioned a mouse - you mentioned Magnifier .......

Would you please mark your own last post as 'Chosen Solution'  ?

That way others, with the same problem, will know and might benefit from it.
